Fun Facts

• The original hotel tower opened in 1954 with 565 rooms. A second 17-story tower was added in 1959 with an additional 435 guest rooms. In 1970 the Fontainebleau acquired the adjacent Sorrento Hotel (which was built in 1948). It was renovated to become the spa building with additional guest rooms. The Tresor Tower was added in 2008 as a condo tower as part of an expansion.  
• The resort was managed by Hilton Hotels from 1978 until 2005.
• The resort once had 6 bowling lanes and an indoor ice skating rink.
• Fontainebleau has been the setting for numerous films and tv shows including “Goldfinger”, “The Bodyguard”, and “The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel”.
• It has hosted many celebrities and U.S. presidents over the years.
