This upscale resort hotel was built in the 1960’s as the Pier House Motel. It has 42 Guest rooms and suites. It has nicely landscaped grounds and an awesome waterfront restaurant/beach bar. It also has the cool Chart Room bar. There is a very pretty pool area, a spa and fitness center, and a private beach.

Fun Facts

  • The resort was built with roofs of corrugated galvanized metal. This type of ting roofing was designed to catch rainwater.
  • The waterfront room wing that was added in 1972 was built on 32-foot deep concrete pilings directly over the water.
  • Vacationing celebrities often gathered at the Chart Room bar in the 1970’s.
  • The resort’s private beach was added in 1972
  • The resort’s spa was added in 1990
